I really enjoy interacting with the public, speaking to an audience, and really communicating with others. It was a huge honor for me when the college from which I received my undergraduate degree, Covenant College, as well as several other local colleges asked me to teach. As early as 1997, I was asked to teach legal courses at Floyd College (now Georgia Highlands) in Rome, Georgia. I developed and taught these classes with my good friend, an attorney, Preston Smith (who today serves as State Senator for Georgia’s 52nd District). Together, we developed a legal program at Floyd College that was second to none, and I enjoyed the experience very much.
Perhaps my greatest honor as an adjunct professor was when I returned to Covenant College to teach in the Quest Program. To stand in the same classrooms and teach where I had previously been a student was very rewarding, and I enjoyed it very much. While teaching for Covenant College, I taught the following courses: - Managerial Marketing
- Strategic Management
- Readings in Organizational Management
In addition to teaching those classes, I was also very fortunate to have the opportunity to give the following professional day-long lectures sponsored by the National Business Institute: - Medical Malpractice for the Experienced Paralegal, 2000, Atlanta, Georgia
- Case Management for the Litigation Paralegal in Georgia, 2000, Atlanta, Georgia
- Litigation, Interviewing and Investigations, Legal Research and Writing, Workers’ Compensation, Family Law, 1999 – 2000, Floyd College Paralegal Program, Rome, Georgia
- Criminal Justice, Legal Research and Writing, 1995 – 1999, Berry College Paralegal Program, Rome, Georgia
- Legal Research, 1997, West Georgia Regional Library System, Carrollton, Georgia
